Add an NVR or Wireless Kit to Hiseeucloud
How to add a Hiseeu wireless kit base station or NVR system to the Hiseeucloud app using LAN scan or the device ID.
Hiseeu wireless kits and NVR systems work differently from standalone Wi-Fi cameras. The cameras in a kit are already paired to a base station or recorder, so you add that one unit to the Hiseeucloud app and all of its cameras come with it.
Connect the base station or NVR to your network first
- Plug the base station or NVR into your router with the included Ethernet cable. On most models a wired connection is required for the first setup.
- Power on the unit and the cameras. Kit cameras pair to the base station at the factory, so they should appear on the connected monitor (if you use one) within a minute or two.
- Make sure your phone is on the same Wi-Fi network as that router. This matters for the LAN scan method below.
Method 1: Add by LAN scan (same network)
This is the easiest method when you are at home next to the system.
- Open the Hiseeucloud app and tap Add Device.
- Choose the wireless kit or wired network device type, depending on your system.
- Pick the option to search for devices on your local network. The app scans your LAN and lists the base station or NVR it finds.
- Tap your device, enter its password when prompted (set one if it is still using the factory default), and finish adding it.
- The kit appears in your device list with all of its channels. Open it to see every camera in one view.
Method 2: Add by device ID (remote or scan fails)
If the LAN scan cannot find the unit, or you are adding a system installed somewhere else, use the device ID instead.
- Find the ID on the sticker on the base station or NVR, or on the QR code shown on its connected monitor. On most models the app can scan this QR code directly.
- In the app, tap Add Device and choose the option to enter or scan a device ID.
- Type the ID (or scan the code), enter the device password, and confirm.
- Once added, you can view the system from anywhere — your phone no longer needs to be on the same network.
Quick checks if the device will not add
- Confirm the Ethernet cable is seated and the router port light is blinking.
- Reboot the base station or NVR, wait two minutes, then scan again.
- Double-check the device password. Too many wrong attempts can lock you out temporarily on most models.
- For remote viewing problems after adding, open Settings on the device page and confirm the system shows as online, then test Playback to verify recordings are reachable.
