Reset a forgotten Hiseeucloud app account password, and learn how to recover access to a camera or NVR when its device password is lost.

There are two different passwords people lose: the Hiseeucloud app account password you use to sign in, and the device password set on an individual camera or NVR. The fix is different for each, so start by identifying which one you forgot.

Reset your Hiseeucloud account password

If you cannot sign in to the app, reset the account password from the sign-in screen:

Open the Hiseeucloud app (free on the App Store and Google Play if you need to reinstall it).
On the sign-in screen, choose the forgot-password option.
Enter the email address or phone number you registered with.
Check your inbox or messages for a verification code. If an email does not arrive within a few minutes, check the spam folder.
Enter the code, set a new password, and sign in again.

Your cameras, recordings, and cloud plans are tied to the account, so everything reappears once you sign in — there is no need to re-add devices after an account password reset.

If you no longer have access to the registered email or phone number, contact support so the team can help verify your ownership of the account.

Forgot a camera's device password

Some cameras have their own local password, separate from your app account. On most models there is no way to recover this password — instead, you reset the camera back to factory defaults:

Press and hold the camera's reset button for 5 to 10 seconds until it responds. Full steps are in How to Reset a Hiseeu Camera.
Re-add the camera in the app through Add Device.
Set a new device password when prompted, and store it somewhere safe this time.

Forgot an NVR (recorder) password

If you are locked out of a wireless kit or wired network kit recorder:

Check the manual or the label on the recorder for the factory default login, in case the password was never changed.
On most recorders, the local login screen offers a recovery path — typically a security question, a recovery code, or a code generated from the current date that support can verify for you.
If recovery is not possible, contact support with your recorder's model number and proof of purchase. Do not rely on third-party "password generators" found online.
As a last resort, restore the recorder from its menu as described in the reset guide, then set it up again.

A factory reset erases the device's settings and pairing. Only use it after the recovery options above have failed.
